I have a friend, who is a BMX Racer. She has been trying to get me out to the track for some time now. And I finally went. I had a good excuse for not going earlier, as some of you may remember, I had two broken wrists at the end of last year. I broke them in September, and didn’t get my last cast off until the very end of November. And of course, with casts on for that long, rehab had to take place before I could really do anything strenuous with them. So now that I feel like they have enough strength, I decided to go to the track.
I had such a blast riding around the track, I am seriously thinking of buying a bike and starting to ride regularly. I think it would be a lot of fun, and hey, it’s exercise, and you can’t really go wrong with that! Her brother is quite good, currently ranked 1st in the world in his age category. Not to mention that he is sponsored by Redline, a big name bike company, and Oakley, which I’m sure all of you Continue reading “BMX Racing” »Monthly Archives: January 2008
New Years Resolutions
Well, it’s that time of year again. When we celebrate another year, we party hard, and then make some resolutions for the new year. We often will keep these resolutions for about a couple days, maybe a few weeks, and in some, months. But yet, we all still make them every year.
So, I will continue with my yearly tradition, and make some new year resolutions.
- Physical Fitness. I have always done this one, and I think it’s pretty guaranteed that it will be on about 90% of people’s resolutions. But I am quite certain that this year I’d like to make a very valiant effort to keep it. This includes cardio for overall stamina and strength, anaerobic strength training, specifically core strength(abdominal, etc.), and flexibility. Over the years I have had times when I am more fit than other times, and I always look back at those, and realize that my quality of life is noticeably better.
- Eating Healthy. This is a hard one, because eating healthy is harder, and takes more time, which is hard in our Continue reading “New Years Resolutions” »
A Long Break!!
Well, lots has happened over the past two months. I have been busy, school, holidays (whoever said holidays meant more time??), the new year, school starting up again. The list goes on. My blog has suffered, and it bothers me. However, apparently not enough that I can consistently keep my blog active. I have been blogging for just short of a year now, and have had several months in there where no posts whatsoever have appeared. Other months, on the other hand, have had a post a day. One of the problems with doing this, is that every time a break happens, visitors decrease, and I have to build up traffic again when I start again. This is not the way to keep regular traffic.
All this being said, I would like to be a regular blogger, but with my school schedule this term, add in a part time job, and it doesn’t leave me much time. And I am one who will always make time for fun and friends, so blogging may not be a regular thing. I will, hopefully be fairly regular, but we shall see how that goes. It mostly will depend on the work load from my studies.
