Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine’s Day to all!  It’s another hallmark holiday, and for me, it’s just another day, because I currently don’t have a significant other.  But my friend and I thought, why not do something fun!

We asked a few of our friend’s parents to leave spare keys out for us.  And starting this morning, at about 2:30am, we had breakfast, and set out to fill their cars completely full with balloons, cut out hearts, chocolate kisses, and other random valentine’s paraphernalia.  Both of the girls are single, so they weren’t expecting anything, and will probably be a little bit surprised when they go out to their cars this morning.

What did you do for Valentine’s day?

New Years Resolutions

Well, it’s that time of year again.  When we celebrate another year, we party hard, and then make some resolutions for the new year.  We often will keep these resolutions for about a couple days, maybe a few weeks, and in some, months.  But yet, we all still make them every year.

So, I will continue with my yearly tradition, and make some new year resolutions.

  1. Physical Fitness.  I have always done this one, and I think it’s pretty guaranteed that it will be on about 90% of people’s resolutions.  But I am quite certain that this year I’d like to make a very valiant effort to keep it.  This includes cardio for overall stamina and strength, anaerobic strength training, specifically core strength(abdominal, etc.), and flexibility.  Over the years I have had times when I am more fit than other times, and I always look back at those, and realize that my quality of life is noticeably better.
  2. Eating Healthy.  This is a hard one, because eating healthy is harder, and takes more time, which is hard in our Continue reading

Typing’s not easy

I have found that although typing has become easier, or I have become more used to my new typing style.  It’s still hard. And the thought of sitting down and shooting off a post is one I tend to delay/put off, because I don’t want to type it out.

I am determined to push through, but…I can’t wait till the casts come off!!!

Funny Moments in Soccer

Ok, I’m a soccer player, or I should say, was…other things have taken over my life, leaving me no time to continue playing, but I still enjoy the few games I play in throughout the year.

I was sent this video compilation of funny soccer moments. Take the two minutes to watch it, and have a laugh!!

The kid at the end rocks the entire video!!

Storm the Wall and Sunny Weather

If you live in Vancouver, you know that yesterday, and today, where sunny spring days. Sunny weather like this is a huge pickup for me, because I love the summer.

When I arrived at school today, there was live DJ playing music and lots of students about. I go to UBC, and this week is the week of Storm the Wall. They set up the walls just outside the SUB, and they had music playing. What more can you ask for, other than people, music, and sunshine!!!

WHAT IS “STORM THE WALL”?

Storm the Wall is a 5-person team relay or individual event. Including a 225 yard swim, a 450 metre sprint, a 2.8km cycle, and a 1km run, followed by “storming” a 12’ wall.

Swim: 225 yards

Sprint 450 meters

Bike: 2.8 km

Run: 1km

Wall: All 5 team members climb a 12-foot wall

This event is probably one of UBC’s most well known Rec Centre event.

Extreme Super Bikes

I was pointed in the direction of this video, and I felt I should share it. I love watching those guys who do wheelies on motorbikes, and this video is slightly different. It made me laugh, although there was a large chunk in the middle that I almost stopped watching.
