Dot Com Mogul review
So, what is a dot com mogul?? My understanding is that John Chow came up with the name, and the requirements in his post Requirements To Be A Dot Com Mogul. They are:
- Your income is made from the Internet
- The minimum Internet income level is $10,000 per month (you can not add income from other sources to hit this $10K level)
- You have no jobs outside of the Internet
- You have a personal blog with your name as the domain name
- Your blog must be updated at least once per week
- A Google search of your name must be at the #1 spot
- You must be willing to help dot com mogul wannabes
So…how many do I qualify for right now? Well…only the last one, and even then, I have a lot of learning and establishing myself to do before I can really help people.
I have set a goal to gain this coveted Dot Com Mogul status in one year. It is a lofty goal, but you will never make it if you don’t challenge yourself and put deadlines on your goals. So, feel free to comment on my goal for myself, share your own goals, and join me in the quest for Dot Com Mogul status.
I wish the very best of luck – will you be posting monthly updates on your progress??? Perhaps I will challenge you to see who can make the most gains the quickest!
Hello David
Just heard of this project by Steve… hihi, sounds quite interesting.
You’re number 1 in google by the way. So you’re good!
See you tomorrow I would assume for your sister’s recital.
Marie-Eve
I see you are number 1 in google now! Congrats! You’re making your way to ‘dot com mogul status’!

[...] A while back, I noticed that I started my blog about the same time as Derek Semmler did. Well, to be exact, he had a one day head start, but basically the same time. Tracking progress towards the dot com mogul status. [...]

Ahhh…. I’m likely too busy to actually do the full ‘dot com mogul’ challenge right now… But, I’ll support you along the way!
