Wordpress Theme help
I was using an older computer the other day, with IE 6 and realized that my site wasn’t being displayed correctly. I am currently using a three column Wordpress Theme. It has two navigation themes on the right hand side, with the main text body on the left side.
When I was on the older computer, it was displayed as only two columns, with both of the right columns appearing on top of each other. The middle column starting just below the right column.
It would be of great help to me if you could post a comment to tell me if the site is displaying correctly or not, so that I can figure out if there is something I need to change or not.
Many Thanks!!
It’s also displaying 2 columns for me… I’ll check on my laptop with IE7installed and see what I see… I just thought it was how it was supposed to be!!
Well - I’m looking on IE7 and it works fine… but, for now, IE7 is not the norm - perhaps in another year it will be? You might consider a theme change!
Just thought that I would second this feedback as typically the issue is one of spacing on the page. When you see one of the divs pushed down below where you expect to see it, the problem is usually that the spacing of the other divs has not left enough space for the other div to display.
I’m using Mozilla and everything is good for me.
Coding can be a pain to get everything working with multiple browsers. Hopefully you figure it out
Thanks Jeff and Derek, I changed the style sheet as you said, and it seems to be working great now!!!
Thanks!!!
David, not to burst your bubble but things don’t look right in Firefox anymore. Your sidebar is pushed out beyond the white edge of the right side and it looks like they are layered on top of each other now.
Same here. I also get
ezSQL (v2.03-firestats) Debug..
Last Error — [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘ 319, NULL, 0, 0, NULL, NULL )’ at line 6]

Query Result..
No Results
at the top of the page
Ok!!! Thanks for pointing that out to me guys!!!
I’ve done a bit more playing with the script, and I’m pretty sure it is ok in most browsers…but again, let me know!!
Thanks
Things look much better now in FF.
I had a similar problem, and it has a lot to do with the way width and padding is handled in IE6… in some cases, padding ADDS to the width, which should not be the case but IE6 does it anyways.
Perhaps overriding the width by using this would do?
width: 000px !important;
If this doesn’t work, try reducing hte padding/width by a few pixels at a time until you find a good medium.. thats my best advice.
